Located in The Eden Valley on the rural outskirts of Appleby-in Westmorland. We hold a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Star Council Dog Breeding License and have had over 10 year's experience as Kennel Club Assured Breeders, we are both Ofqual Level 3 Canine First Aid Trained through the IPet Network and provide our dogs and puppies with 24/7 at home care.

With Chocolate's at heart for the last 15 years our aim has been to improve the breed of the Labrador Retriever with the health and temperament of each Puppy produced to the highest standards being paramount to our success. We are now on our 3rd generation of extensively high standard health tested perfect Chocolates and have now built up a positive reputable presence with our clients who many have had repeat puppies from us to become everything from the cuddy home family member, medical assistance trained, therapy companionship aids or the perfect field retriever under the gun.

In 2018 we turned some of our attention to the Dilute coated Labrador's that started popping up around the UK and after many evenings researching and deliberating over all the facts and lots of myths we decided to wait for the availability of what we thought would be the perfect puppies for us to rear with the goal to be able to one day provide perfect health tested Silver coated puppies to the Applebycarr standard. This proved to be exceptionally difficult to be able to get puppies from well breed and trusted lines. We believe after 4+ years we finally reached that goal in 2023 when we were able to provide puppies to clients from our 2 sister girls Luna & Ghost partnered with our own Stud Dog Power bringing together the two best DNA tested and health screened lines in the UK.

Here at Applebycarr we conform and excel above all The UK Kennel Club and The British Veterinary Association forms of health screenings available for the breed. We do not use any cheaper untrusted overseas genetics or health screening companies for testing or any that aren't endorsed by the UK Kennel Club or BVA.

We are fully insured and all of our Puppies produced are raised indoors with outdoor access and all of our adult dogs live in the house to the highest welfare conditions with no corners cut or expenses spared.
